Why Palm Password?

Palm Password allows organizations to centrally and securely store information to be shared with all authorized users.
A typical application would be an organization managing both "User Definable Groups" and "User Definable Items Within Groups". For example:
The customer would be set up as a "User Definable Group". Each P.C. would be set up as "User Definable Item Within Group". You now have easy, secure and controlled access to user identification and passwords for all of your customer's P.C.'s. If you have several customers with several items - we're talking efficiency plus! No more contacting the office or record searching for passwords. Along with user identification and password information there is also the ability to store text if needed (specific instructions or procedures to be followed for arming or disarming alarm systems for instance).
Besides setting up customers as "groups", you can also set up your own applications such as websites or suppliers, when user identification, credit card or membership information is required to access your data.
Lost or stolen Palms are also completely protected. A finder trying to access a device with Palm Password must enter user identification and password. After three unsuccessful attempts, all of the data in the palm is automatically erased and cannot be reloaded until the next synch. In addition, the files in the Palm are encrypted in such a way that it would be virtually impossible for a hacker to extract files and discover contents. In the words of our developer "The program utilizes a 100 character randomized initial key. This initial key is then scrambled by 3 additional keys, preventing a hacker from simply de-compiling the Palm PRC file to locate the encryption key in order to decode the encrypted data."
The Palm Password application consists of two components. The first component (the P.C. component) runs on any workstation using a Windows platform. We recommend storing the data files on a shared drive (a server) so that all workstation users have access to the data. The second part of the application is installed on whichever Palms you wish.
All of the adding, editing, and deleting of password information is performed only on the P.C. component. When the palm is synched with the P.C. all of the password information is refreshed in the Palm. Ready to get started? Call WaudWare today.
